TurnAroundKids (operated by Turn Around Kids Group Pty Ltd) collects information from User Account holders and Child Data. This information may include Personally Identifiable Information (PII), which refers to details that can identify an individual child or User. Turn Around Kids Group Pty Ltd adheres to relevant laws, regulations, industry norms, and contractual obligations related to protecting PII.

The information is provided by Users who have created accounts, either through a complimentary offer or by purchasing a program or subscription. By doing so, Users agree to utilise the Services. Alternatively, Authorised Carers, authorised by Users, can access the Member's family account for a duration determined solely by the Account holder's discretion.

User Data comprises specific details that can be employed for User identification. This information is essential for accessing the Services, whether through a complimentary arrangement or a paid program or subscription. We only collect personal data necessary to provide our services and enhance your experience.

There are two categories of personally identifiable User Data:

1. Users, including Primary Account Administrators, Secondary Account Administrators, or Account Members:

Information Disclosures: The utilisation and sharing of Personal Data adhere to relevant laws designed to safeguard such information. Access to Personal Data is limited to authorised personnel, including Turn Around Kids Group Pty Ltd employees and subcontractors. The authorisation of these individuals is regularly reviewed and confirmed by a cross-functional working group, which includes the Chief Technology Officer.

Access to Personal Data is granted solely to those individuals who require it to execute the tasks essential for the creation and delivery of our content, programs, and other services.

Responsibility: All employees and subcontractors of Turn Around Kids Group Pty Ltd are accountable for the security and privacy of the Personal Data we maintain. This policy encompasses all computing systems, networks, business processes, and the oral transmission of information.

D. How we utilise the collected information

Limited to Authorised Objectives: The information we gather is exclusively employed for research and development purposes, or for directly relevant support and/or marketing endeavors linked to the App.

Usage of Personal Data: The Personal Data furnished will be utilised to generate and uphold an account within the TurnAroundKids platform. Furthermore, we might utilise Personal Data for marketing the service or proposing supplementary associated services to our Users. Personal Data will also be employed to inform Users about application updates, service enhancements, and for communication purposes when additional information is required.

In scenarios where circumstances necessitate the processing of your personal data for a purpose different from the initial collection intent, we will furnish you with information about the new processing purpose and other pertinent details before engaging in the processing of your personal data for that novel purpose.

E. When and how we share information

Apart from sharing with the service providers described in section G, all personal information gathered by the TurnAroundKids platform will remain confidential and secure except where:

1. It is subpoenaed by a court,
2. Failure to disclose the information would place you or another person at serious and imminent risk; or
3. Your prior approval has been obtained to a) provide a written report to another professional or agency, eg. a GP or a lawyer; or b) discuss the material with another person, eg. a parent or employer; or if disclosure is otherwise required or authorised by law.

F. Analytics

Our website does not use analytics or advertising trackers. Our mobile app uses analytics and crash-reporting services to understand how the app is used and to fix problems. The AI Parent Coach keeps its own usage records, described in section P.

G. Data sharing

Turn Around Kids Group Pty Ltd does not sell or lease your personal data, and does not share it for advertising. We share it only with service providers who help us run TurnAroundKids, such as cloud hosting, AI and payment providers, and only what each needs to do its job. These providers process data on our instructions, do not use it to train their AI models, and may process it outside Australia, including in the United States.

H. Your privacy rights

You retain the following rights:

• To access the personal data we have concerning you.
• To request corrections or deletions of your personal data.
• To seek limitations on or halt the processing of your personal data.
• Under specific conditions, to receive your personal data that we hold and transmit it to another entity, unimpeded by us (including the right to data portability).
• If previously granted, to withdraw consent for processing your personal data.

I. Data retention

We will exclusively process and store your information for the period required to accomplish the storage objective or as sanctioned by law.

J. Data collection from children

Our Services are not meant for use by individuals under 16 years of age. We respect the privacy of children online. The TurnAroundKids Application and Services are targeted towards mental health professionals, schools, teachers, parents, and legal guardians. They are not intended for individuals below the age of 16.

K. user data correction

Users have the ability to manage and modify the data they provide to us. Personal Data can be rectified or changed through the Application's Settings. For assistance with modifying Personal Data, you can reach out to our support team at support@turnaroundkids.co.

L. links to external sites

Our website or application(s) might contain links to external websites or resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such websites or resources. Users should refer to those platforms for information about their data protection practices.

M. data tracking

The anonymous data we collect is used to administer our Application and Site, enhance our services, comprehend Application and Site usage patterns, identify popular Application or Site sections, and analyse trends.

N. changes to privacy policy

Turn Around Kids Group Pty Ltd may revise or update this Privacy Policy occasionally. We encourage periodic reviews of this page. In the event of substantial modifications, such as the altered utilisation of personal data, we will offer Users at least 30 days' notice for evaluating the new practice.

O. Disclaimer of liability

The information presented here encompasses Turn Around Kids Group Pty Ltd embraced privacy policy and operational approaches for the Site. From a legal perspective, it should not be interpreted as constituting a contractual commitment. Turn Around Kids Group Pty Ltd maintains the authority to revise this policy as stipulated in Section N above. Such revisions will take effect following a 30-day prior notice, as detailed in Section N. Turn Around Kids Group Pty Ltd, along with its affiliates, staff, or representatives, cannot be held accountable for any inappropriate or inaccurate utilisation of the information delineated within the Application or Site. Furthermore, they disclaim any responsibility for the utilisation of this information by any individual.

P. The AI Parent Coach

The AI Parent Coach at ai-coach.turnaroundkids.co is an AI chat assistant that suggests TurnAroundKids videos, worksheets and tips for your child. This section explains what happens to the information you give it.

What you tell it: To give relevant advice, the coach asks about your child, such as their age and what happens at hard moments. Please don't include your child's full name or other details that identify them; the coach doesn't need them.

How your messages are processed: Each message is sent to our AI service providers, which write the reply and help the coach understand what you asked. Under their terms with us, they do not use your messages to train or improve their AI models. They may keep them for a limited time to provide the service and to prevent misuse. Our AI service providers may process your messages outside Australia, including in the United States.

If you don't sign in: Your conversation is kept on our servers only while it is open and for a short time afterwards (about 15 minutes) so a page reload can carry on. It is not saved to an account. Your browser keeps a copy for the tab until you close it or start a new conversation.

If you sign in and save chats: Your chats are saved to your TurnAroundKids account so you can come back to them. Each chat is encrypted before it is stored, and you can choose not to save a chat. When you tell the coach your child's age, or describe concerns such as sleep or anger, we may record these on your child's profile in your account, as the TurnAroundKids app does, so the coach and app can recommend the right program. If your account has no child yet, we create one with a placeholder name, which you can change in the app.

Usage information: We record how the coach is used (for example, which buttons are tapped and which videos are opened) to improve it. This never includes what you type. We keep it for up to 400 days. Your country and state are taken from your connection; we do not store your IP address with it.

Free sessions and cookies: To limit free use, we set a cookie (tak_device, kept for up to 400 days) holding a random identifier, and we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address and account. These cannot be turned back into the original values. We don't set this cookie in the EU, UK or Switzerland. Signing in sets a cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies in the coach.

Safety: If a message suggests that you or a child may be at risk, the coach gives you emergency and crisis service contacts. It does not contact anyone on your behalf.
